Specialized

Specialized garden includes zoos, botanical garden, amusement parks and other commercial landscape gardens. They are usually known as non-residential gardens. The most common theme of the specialized garden is to make the landscaping look more attractive. These landscaping wonders are usually a joint effort and rarely a responsibility of a single gardener. A staff of a botanists and gardeners work together to give that aesthetic appeal and are created to support or deliver revenue to the organizations supporting them.

Vegetables are rarely grown in such gardens. They focus more on special or rare types of flora, shrubs or trees.

Residential

Backyard garden or residential gardens does not require much space. A balcony, window sill or any other area can be used to produce crop. These are usually planted to grow home grown vegetables that can be utilized by the family and if it is in excess than can be sold in a farmer’s market.

As these gardens are created in a smaller area, so it becomes easier for them to maintain and monitor the grown plants. It is always easier to protect a smaller garden from pests as you could concentrate on all the aspects of gardening.

The residential adds color as well as beauty to your landscape and can also be created by gardeners who have just begun with their career.

Indoor

This is best suited for people who do not have a backyard or other place to create a garden. The best part of indoor garden is that plants can be grown all year round and are independent of the climatic conditions.

But sunlight is important for each and every plant to nourish and grow so you need to keep the plants in such a place where they can receive sunlight for a few hours daily. Not every plant can grow indoors so choose only those plants that can survive inside the house.

Green houses are the best example of indoor gardening. They are equipped with climate control systems and are more suited for the commercial grower mainly because of the expenses involved.
